What's happening?
As part of its Michigan Central innovation district, Ford Motor Company is renovating the Book Depository building, an abandoned structure formerly used by Detroit's public school district. When complete in 2022, the building will be a mixed-use maker space, offering co-working areas, hands-on labs and innovation studios. The development will include an exterior plaza and cafe.
