What's happening?
In March 2022, the city announced plans to build the $12 million Chandler Park Fieldhouse using American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds, part of a larger initiative to invest in parks and recreation centers. The fieldhouse will include a dome over a football field and an indoor center. Additional improvements planned for Chandler Park include adding picnic shelters, a nature play area and new playground equipment. In 2022, construction was slated to start in summer 2023.
