What's happening?
Henry Ford Health and Michigan State University are partnering to build a $330 million biomedical research facility, part of the hospital's expansion and the larger Future of Health project. Construction was set to begin in 2024 and be complete in 2027.
The building will house the Nick Gilbert new Neurofibromatosis Research Institute. The Gilbert Family Foundation donated nearly $375 million to support the Institute and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, a physical medicine and rehab facility that will be built as part of the hospital's expansion.
