What's happening?

Jefferson Holcomb LLC, led by Anthony Curis, plans a mixed-use rehab of a one-story vacant retail building at 9101 and 9123 E. Jefferson, built in the 1930s. The project includes plans for a cafe, retail and community use, including a rooftop deck for events and an enclosed, open-air basketball court.

Social Status, a streetwear retail concept from fashion entrepreneur and Pittsburgh native James Whitner, will be one of four tenants in about 8,000 square feet of leasable space at the development. In November 2021, the developer sought $185,800 in Obsolete Property Rehabilitation Act tax incentives and $591,500 in brownfield tax incentives for the $1.6 million to $1.8 million project. Completion is planned for 2023.
