What's happening?

The Sterling Group is developing a 25-story, 600-room JW Marriott hotel near the site of the former Joe Louis Arena that will connect to the Huntington Place convention center by pedestrian bridge. Construction on the $396.5 million project is slated to be complete in 2027. The project underwent the city's community benefits process in early 2024.
