What's happening?

Latimer Ashley Development Group is in the process of securing about 160 parcels totaling 30 acres of land on the west side to develop a large business campus with industrial, warehouse and distribution operations. The Detroit Brownfield Redevelopment Authority in December 2021 approved the Detroit Economic Growth Corp. to enter into a letter of intent with Latimer Ashley, who proposed a $3.1 million sale price. To go forward, the project requires rezoning from residential to industrial and acquisition of some privately-owned parcels in the area.
