What's happening?
The former Cadillac Stamping Plant on Detroit's east side was demolished in 2021 to prepare for Missouri-based NorthPoint Development's construction of the M3 Commerce Center. Construction of the $48 million development of a 684,000-square-foot industrial and manufacturing facility was underway in early 2022 and slated to be complete later in the year. Lear Corp. will occupy about two-thirds of the space for its operation making seats for electric vehicles built at GM’s Factory Zero Assembly factory.
