The Monroe Blocks project, developed by Bedrock, 

 but faced delays pre-pandemic and has been stalled since, with 

 as of late 2021. Bedrock pivoted to use the space for a 

 and summer outdoor roller rink and basketball courts with live performances. Initial plans for 

 included an $830 million mixed-use development with 847,000 square feet of office space, 482 residential units and 117,000 feet of retail space. The site contains the Albert Kahn-designed National Theater building, with plans calling for restoring the exterior along a pedestrian walkway.
