What's happening?

Developer Neal Check of RainCheck Development LLC in Birmingham purchased the former church in 2021 from Midtown Detroit Inc. for $900,000, with plans to convert it into 15 units shared in February 2022. The project is estimated to cost $3 million; Check intends to seek tax incentives and charge below-market rents for a few of the units.
