What's happening?

The city plans to build 160 units of infill housing on city-owned land North Corktown, in an area bounded by Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, Butternut Street, Wabash Street and 16th Street. Much of the housing will be designated as affordable at 30-80% area median income. The project is part of the city's overall plan for housing development and preservation in Corktown, for which it received a $30 million federal grant in 2021. The Community Builders of Boston will lead development of the project, which was also awarded a $1.5 million Low-Income Housing Tax Credit in 2021.
