Developer Charles A Dickerson III, of CADS III Management, Inc., plans a three-story new build in the North End. Dickerson sought the establishment of a Neighborhood Enterprise Zone allowing for a tax abatement of $507,000 in 2021. The estimated $3.5 million project was also expected to be partially financed with a Michigan Economic Development Corp. grant. The project broke ground in summer 2023.

November 12, 2024: Ribbon cutting | City of Detroit

"Detroit Deputy Mayor Melia Howard, members of Detroit City Council and Detroit developer Charles Dickerson III cut the ribbon today on a new multi-family affordable housing development in Detroit’s North End. “The Beauton,” a $7.3 million mixed use building will bring another 29 units of brand-new affordable housing to Detroit."
