What's happening?
The Mid is a planned mixed-use development with 80,000 square feet of retail space, a 225-room boutique hotel, and 300 units of co-living space in Midtown. Construction is proposed for the third quarter of 2022 as developers faced pandemic-related delays. Construction will happen in two phases with phase one focusing on 300 co-living units. Developers received an extension on brownfield tax credits in June and the project underwent Detroit's Community Benefits process in 2020-2021.
